David Fiellin, MD
David A. Fiellin, MD, is a Professor of Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Public Health at Yale where is Director of the the Yale Program in Addiction Medicine and Vice Chief for Faculty Affairs, General Internal Medicine. He is an internist with board certified in Addiction Medicine. His research is focused on integrating treatment for unhealthy substance use in general medical settings including office-based practice, primary care, emergency departments, hospitals liver clinics, ob/gyn practices and HIV specialty settings. He is Co-Editor of the American Society of Addiction Medicine’s textbook, ASAM Principles of Addiction Medicine, 4th, 5th and 6th Editions, has served on the Board of Directors of the College on Problems of Drug Dependence and is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Addiction Medicine.
